Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

Middle Georgia Local Services is committed to ensuring that middlegeorgialocalservices.com (the “Site”) is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that all visitors should be able to browse service categories, learn about local Providers, and submit requests for quotes without unnecessary barriers.

Standards We Aim to Meet

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Measures We Take

To support accessibility, we work to:

  • Provide text alternatives for non-text content (such as images and icons)
  • Ensure the Site can be navigated using a keyboard alone
  • Maintain sufficient color contrast between text and background
  • Use clear, consistent navigation and page structure
  • Use descriptive headings, labels, and link text
  • Ensure forms include clear labels and error messages
  • Test pages periodically using accessibility evaluation tools and, where feasible, assistive technologies such as screen readers

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some content or features on the Site may not yet be fully accessible. This can happen for reasons including:

  • Content or forms provided by third parties (such as Provider listings, embedded maps, or advertising) that we do not fully control
  • Legacy content that has not yet been updated
  • Technical limitations of certain browsers or assistive technologies

We are actively working to identify and correct accessibility issues as they are found.

Feedback and Assistance

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the Site. If you encounter a barrier, need assistance completing a form, or would like to request information in an alternative format, please contact us:

Middle Georgia Local Services

Email: [email protected]

When contacting us, please include:

  • The web page or feature involved
  • A description of the issue you encountered
  • The browser, device, or assistive technology you were using, if known

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 3–5 business days and will make reasonable efforts to address reported issues promptly.

Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We periodically review the Site’s design and content and welcome the community’s help in identifying areas for improvement.
